You show five solid brass discs enameled in five different
colors. Also shown is a tube large enough to hold the discs. Both the
discs and the tube have a small hole in the center, just big enough to
pass a needle and thread through it.
A spectator freely selects any colored disc, and all the
discs are placed into the tube. A needle and thread are passed through the
small hole in the discs and the tube. When the tube is opened only the
chosen color falls off. The rest of the four discs and the tube
remain threaded on the cord.
All the discs, tube and needle can be examined at all
times. There is nothing to add or remove at any time. Everything is
self contained and the magic is mechanical in nature.
