You hand out a wooden insert, a wooden frame and a ribbon for
inspection. The insert is placed in the frame and the ribbon is visibly
threaded through the insert and the frame. Two members of the audience are
asked to hold the two ends of the ribbon so that there is no way the
insert could be removed from the frame. You apply your magic on the frame
and the insert is visibly pulled out in full view of the
audience. The audience can still see that the ribbon is still threaded
through the frame, but the insert has magically come free of the frame.
Everything can be inspected at all times. There is nothing to add, remove,
hide or palm at any time.
The wooden frame is lacquered to a high finish and measures about
7" x 5 1/2". This trick is very easy to do.
